Perrett Tests Come Back Clear - Injury update

Cherries defender Russ Perrett has received some good news this week with results of various tests coming back all clear. Perrett was admitted to hospital last Wednesday suffering breathing difficulties and didn't feature in Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Southend.

An ECG (electrocardiogram) on the heart came back all clear as did a chest x-ray and a scan to monitor blood flow. Perrett however isn't completely free from pain and is on painkillers for the early part of the week before seeing how the problem settles down.

Ryan Garry meanwhile will undergo a minor operation on Friday (February 22nd) to resolve a hernia in the shin. Garry is still in full training however and will only miss two to three weeks after the operation.

Garry has undergone a mini pre-season and given his enhanced fitness levels the operation will not put back his recovery by too much. Cherries play Plymouth reserves twice in two weeks at the end of March and Garry may come back in one of those two games.

Darren Anderton has been progressing with ball work in the supervision of Cherries physio Steve Hard. His hamstring is still giving him a slight niggle while sprinting so he is not yet in full training with the remainder of the squad.

Neil Moss and Steven Foley continue to recover from wrist and back operations respectively. Neither are expected to play again this season.
