Players Will Fight On - Nobody throwing in the towel says Bond
With the future of the club in a bleak state of affairs and Cherries edging closer to relegation despite an upturn on form, Kevin Bond is adamant his players won't throw in the towel.
Bournemouth travel to top of the table Swansea tomorrow, a team Bond believes is the best he's seen in League One this season. However the gaffer is confident his team will put on a good show.
Bond said, "We've still got to focus on the job that we need to do. We know it'll be a difficult day for us, but we've got to try and maintain the creditable performances we've been showing in recent weeks.
"We can't down tools and throw the towel in because everyone will lose heart. We've performed really well of late and will try and do the same on Saturday.
"We've got five games to play and we've got to pick up as many points as we can and see where it takes us. We need to go there knowing the importance of the game without putting pressure on the lads.
"We've got to respect Swansea, but at the same time have the belief we can bring something back from the game. The players believe they can get a result. The moment they stop thinking like that you've got no chance.
"Swansea are a very settled side and probably more accomplished now than in the fixture at our place. They've got good players all over the pitch and we know what to expect from them.
"They should get promoted without a problem and hold their own in the Championship. Swansea would comfortably be the best team I've seen in the division this year."
