"Jeff" May Play Festive Role - Christophe loan not written off yet
Cherries on loan midfield man Jean Francois Christophe may yet feature for Bournemouth before his loan spell expires at the start of January.
The Frenchman has been out of action with a broken wrist sustained in a reserve game earlier in the season. It was initially feared Christophe wouldn't be fit again before the loan period expired.
Christophe returned to training this week with a protective cast on his wrist. He's been told he needs a couple of weeks before returning to first team action, but that may put him in contention for the final matches of 2007.
Cherries Manager Kevin Bond said, "He's trained for the last couple of days and has been working with a protective shield on his wrist. He's now back in the picture and enjoying being amongst the lads on the training field again and we're certainly enjoying having him back.
"He's not ready to play right now, but he'll hopefully be in the reckoning over the Christmas period before his loan expires. From there on in he'll be there or thereabouts and hopefully available for us. It's something I didn't expect so it's welcome news for us."
